Jammu, Feb 17 (KNO): Uproarious scenes were witnessed in the Legislative Assembly on Tuesday over BJP MLA Vikram Randhawa’s remarks that Kashmiris have encroached land in Jammu. As soon as Question Hour ended, as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Congress MLAs Irfan Hafiz Lone and Iftikhar Ahmad stood up, demanding that Randhawa apologise for his remarks. “Chor Machaye Shor, Chor Machaye Shor, Kashmiri Ko Badnam Karna Band Karo,” Irfan Hafiz Lone shouted. Congress MLA Iftikhar Ahmad accused the BJP of maligning Kashmiris. “First they defamed the Pir Panchal region, now they are defaming the people of Kashmir,” he said. MLA Langate Sheikh Khursheed added that the member who accused Kashmiris of being land grabbers is himself a land grabber. Soon after, BJP legislator Vikram Randhawa stood up and countered the Congress MLAs and Khursheed. NC members also joined in to counter the BJP MLAs, leading to heated exchanges—(KNO)
